Information: A full simulated game day at a historic château estate in the French countryside — five drives, 5,000 clays, and full hospitality throughout. The ideal preparation for driven bird shooting, or simply an exceptional day in extraordinary surroundings.

About

Set in the rolling fields and ancient woodland of the French countryside within easy reach of Paris, this is a day that mirrors a traditional driven shoot in every detail — except the birds are clay.

Five fully simulated bird drives are laid out across the estate, with six machines per drive launching over 1,000 clay pigeons per drive over the line of guns. The variety of drives — representing pheasants in woodland and partridges on steep banks — means every stand is different, and every shot counts.

This is the perfect introduction to driven bird shooting for women who want to understand what a real season day feels like before they're on a live shoot. It is equally well-suited to experienced shots looking to sharpen their eye ahead of the season, or simply to enjoy an exceptional day in exceptional company.

Pegs can be shared — if you want to share the experience as well as the shot, that is entirely possible.

Drives 1–3 Three fully simulated bird drives across the estate grounds. Six machines per drive, 1,000+ clays per drive. Mix of pheasant and partridge presentations.

Italy has one of the most beautiful hunting traditions in the world, and walked-up shooting with pointing dogs is among its finest expressions.

On private estates set among vineyards and ancient landscape, you will follow pointing dogs through extraordinary October countryside — with pheasant and partridge ahead of you. When a well-trained pointer freezes on game, everything stops. The hunter, the dog, the landscape — all in perfect stillness before the flush. It is one of the most elemental experiences in the field.

This experience is for 3–6 women only. No more. Small enough that every hunter has genuine time in the field, with dogs working directly ahead of her.

Evenings are unhurried — the kind of Italian hospitality that makes you want to stay another week.

Forest to Table – Deer Stalking Weekend

Information: A three-day guided deer stalking experience at estates in Brandenburg — with a cooking class, your own harvest prepared that evening, and a set of recipes to take home. Bring a friend who has always been curious about hunting. Non-hunters are warmly welcome.

About

Brandenburg countryside — forests, still mornings, and deer in the mist. Three days in a setting that reminds you why this matters.

This is a guided introduction to deer stalking for women who want to experience hunting properly for the first time and for the friends they want to bring along. You do not need to hunt to join. Non-hunting companions are welcome throughout the weekend and are included in all shared meals, the cooking class, and the social programme.

The focus is not the trophy. It is the experience — being in the field, understanding the animal and the landscape, and coming home with your own harvested meat and the knowledge of how to prepare it.

In the kitchen with @wildesophie, that harvest becomes a meal. Recipes are yours to take home.

The group stays together in a shared castle property for the weekend — the kind of setting that turns a hunting trip into something you remember for a very different reason.

Feathers & Tweed – Driven Partridge at Lochnell Estate

Information: A driven partridge day at one of Scotland's finest private estates on the west coast of Argyll — 100 birds, full hospitality from breakfast to afternoon meal, and Scotland at its October best. Pegs can be shared. Red stag stalking and a wider Scotland itinerary can be arranged separately on request.

About

Lochnell Estate sits on the west coast of Argyll. Heather moors, sea views, and ancient landscape that has been hunted for centuries. The driven partridge at Lochnell is a proper sporting day in every sense: 100 birds over the line of guns, between 5 and 6 drives depending on weather and ground conditions, with full hospitality woven through the entire day.

The day begins with breakfast, teas, and coffee in the morning. Elevenses are served out in the field. The day closes with a two-course home-made meal using locally sourced produce, with drinks, back at the chapel.

Ten pegs are available. If you would rather share a peg — and share the experience with a friend — that is entirely possible. Shared pegs are warmly encouraged.

The estate offers different drives depending on weather, always chosen to give the best possible shooting across the day.

For those who want to make more of Scotland, red stag stalking can be arranged around the shoot date, and a bespoke wider itinerary is available on request. Veldt & Focus can advise on what is possible — all additional travel and accommodation arrangements are made independently.

Information: A winter hunting weekend at one of Germany's most prestigious castle estates. Mufflon and Fallow deer, prestige dinners in the castle hall, and the best possible start to a new year. Not about the trophy. About beginning the year with a heart full in the right company, in the right setting.

About

Schloss Duttenstein sits in the landscape of the Swabian Alb, a historic castle estate that makes January feel like it was made for exactly this.

This is a women's hunting weekend built around the experience, not the harvest. You hunt Mufflon and Fallow deer across two guided outings. Kahlwild and Spießer taken for the kitchen are included, what you hunt, you eat. Trophy hunting is available on request with a separate price list.

The evenings are long, the table is set properly, and the castle does the rest.

Non-hunting companions are warmly welcome, as are women currently completing their hunting licence who want to join for a highseat experience without active hunting, and friends who are curious about hunting and want to experience the field for the first time. The Opening is designed so that everyone belongs, whether or not they carry a rifle.
